Kentico Site - Learning Outside the Classroom

Site: Learning Outside the Classroom
Implementation: Oculus Design & Communication

The thing I really like about this site is that it looks nothing like what I’d expect coming from any association with a government department. The design is fresh, the typography is modern, light and welcoming and the navigation is slick, really slick.

You’d be hard pressed to notice the 1000+ pages of content without bringing up the sitemap, and the user generated content (moderated) sits nicely in amongst the mix, categorised efficiently.

I love it that I’m seeing a site using the Yahoo User Interface libraries again. It’s been a while with the jQuery hype of late, and I’m a particular fan.

It’s difficult to pull together a really clean fresh looking website while conforming to any of the W3C accessibility guidelines, but the guys at Oculus have well and truly pulled it off.

I love this site.
