The smart search is one of the great new features introduced in Kentico 4.1. While I have covered the basic functionalities in a recent blog post, and the setup of the search module is very well covered by the Kentico documentation, let’s take a look into the possibilities of customizing the look of the search results.

I think I can speak for most of us when I say that the August 17 release of Kentico CMS 4.1 was an unexpected surprise. The release date given several months ago was easily forgotten, and the hints of a pending release littered through Martin’s blog posts were easy to overlook if you were caught up with the frequent patch releases of 4.0.

The new functionality is awesome, and this is is a release that goes a long towards satisfying the wishlists of most Kentico developers.
